Terms of Use
Last updated: 07/10/2026
These terms explain how Archi Quote Compare works and the rules for using it. Please read them before you create an account or send an enquiry. If you have a question, contact us at info@archiquotecompare.com.
1. Who we are
Archi Quote Compare is a trading name of Shoutify Limited, a company registered in England and Wales with company number 15853392. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean Shoutify Limited.
You can contact us at info@archiquotecompare.com or through the contact form on our website, https://www.archiquotecompare.com.
2. What Archi Quote Compare does
Archi Quote Compare is an online marketplace. It introduces people who want architectural, planning and design work ("customers") to architects, architectural designers and other property professionals ("professionals").
- Professionals whose account is verified have a public profile that anyone can see, on our website and in search engines. Profiles never show a professional's phone number, email address, website or street address.
- Customers describe their project for free. We share it with professionals who offer that service in that area and, if the customer asked a professional for a quote from their profile, with that professional too.
- Professionals pay to see an enquiry in full and to contact the customer.
- Customers can look at professionals' public profiles, compare the professionals who contact them, message them, receive quotes and choose one.
We are not an architect, designer, planning consultant or builder, and we don't give professional advice about your project. The guides, cost guides and planning information on our website are general information only. They don't tell you whether your project needs planning permission or what it will cost.
3. Deals between customers and professionals
Any agreement for work is made directly between the customer and the professional. We are not a party to that agreement, we don't act as agent for either side, and we don't guarantee that any work will be agreed, done, done well or paid for.
This means we are not responsible for:
- the advice, drawings, applications or other work a professional provides, or its quality, timing or price
- the outcome of any planning application, Building Regulations application or other approval
- any payment, deposit, fee or refund between a customer and a professional
- anything a customer or professional says or does, whether through Archi Quote Compare or outside it.
Before any work starts, customers and professionals should agree in writing what will be done, the price, what's included and excluded, the timetable, how changes are handled, insurance, and how either side can cancel. Customers should check a professional's qualifications, registration and insurance for themselves. For example, anyone calling themselves an architect in the UK must be registered with the Architects Registration Board (ARB), and you can check this on the ARB register.
If something goes wrong between a customer and a professional, they should try to sort it out between themselves. You can tell us about it and we may help, for example by reviewing messages on the platform or taking action against an account that breaks these terms, but we don't decide disputes and we aren't responsible for resolving them.
4. Accounts and signing in
To use most of Archi Quote Compare you need an account. You must be 18 or over and live or operate in the UK.
- Give us accurate details and keep them up to date.
- Keep your password and sign-in links private. You're responsible for what happens in your account.
- Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account.
- One person or business, one account. Don't create accounts for other people without their permission.
You can sign in with your email address and password, with a one-time sign-in link we email you (it works once and expires after 15 minutes), or with Google or Apple where we offer them. If you sign in with Google or Apple, their terms also apply to that sign-in.
We check that each account's mobile number and email address belong to the person using them. Professionals must verify both before they can buy leads. These checks confirm contact details only; they don't confirm who someone is, their qualifications or the quality of their work.
5. Using Archi Quote Compare as a customer
Sending an enquiry is free.
- Describe your project accurately, and only share information and files you're entitled to share.
- When you send an enquiry we save it straight away and text you a code to confirm your mobile number, and email you a code and a link to confirm your email address. Professionals can see your enquiry, and show interest in it, before you've confirmed them, but they see a "verified" tick only once your mobile number is confirmed, and they respond better to verified enquiries. We may remind you by text and email, during the day, until you've confirmed them. If you don't have an account yet, sending an enquiry creates a customer account for you; you can sign in to it once you've confirmed your email address. If you get an email about an enquiry you didn't send, choose "This wasn't me" in that email and we'll close it.
- Professionals who offer the service see a summary of your enquiry and its approximate location. They're usually companies that work in your area, but our team may also offer your enquiry to companies in other areas. When a professional pays to see your enquiry, or our team passes it to them, they see the full details, your files, your name, your profile photo (if you've added one), your phone number, your email address and the property address, and they can message you. The enquiry form tells you this before you send it.
- A limited number of professionals can buy each enquiry. The number is shown on your project.
- We may recommend up to five professionals for your project. Featured professionals, who pay for extra visibility, are always included and shown first. You can ask a recommended professional for a quote; they still need to buy your enquiry before they can contact you.
- You can also ask a professional for a quote from their public profile. Your enquiry then goes to that professional, even if they don't usually cover your service or area, as well as to the professionals it's usually shared with. They still need to buy your enquiry before they can see your details or contact you.
- You don't have to reply to any professional or accept any quote.
6. Using Archi Quote Compare as a professional
Your profile
Your profile must be accurate and must not mislead customers. Choose every type of professional that genuinely applies to your company. Only describe yourself as an "Architect" if you're registered with the ARB; we show "Architect" only after we've approved an ARB registration. Only add credentials, qualifications, memberships, insurance and portfolio projects that are genuinely yours, and keep them up to date. We may check, hide or remove anything we think is inaccurate.
Once your mobile number and email address are verified and you choose "Published" for your public listing, your profile is public: anyone can see it on our website, it's listed in our directory of professionals, and search engines such as Google may show it in their results. Your profile never shows your phone number, email address, website or street address, and we hide contact details typed into it. Don't include contact details, or other people's personal information, in your profile or portfolio. You can choose "Hidden" at any time. Your profile is then removed from our website and directory, and only customers whose enquiry you've bought, or who we've recommended you to, can see it. Search engines may keep showing an old copy for a while after that.
Customers can ask you for a quote from your public profile. Their enquiry then comes to you even if it's outside your usual services or areas, and you buy it as normal to see the customer's details. A lead you receive this way isn't a reason to return credits because it's outside your usual services or areas.
Leads
- Buying a lead gives you access to that enquiry: the full details, the customer's contact details and messaging. It isn't a promise that the customer will reply, ask for a quote or hire you.
- The price of each lead is shown before you buy it. Prices can differ between leads.
- Only use a customer's details to discuss the project they sent. You may keep them in your own business tools, such as a CRM or accounting app connected in Marketplace, for that purpose. Don't add them to marketing lists, pass them to anyone else or contact them after they ask you to stop.
- Respond to customers promptly, politely and honestly, and give clear written quotes.
- Leads can come from any part of the UK. Each lead shows where the project is before you buy it, and a lead being outside your usual areas isn't a reason to return credits.
- If a lead is clearly invalid (for example, the phone number doesn't exist or the customer says they never made the enquiry), tell us within 7 days of buying it. We'll look into it and, if we agree, return the credits you spent on it.
- We may remove your access to an enquiry if you break these terms or the customer reports a genuine problem. Credits aren't returned in that case.
Credits
- You buy credits in packs. The price, the number of credits and whether VAT is added are shown before you pay.
- You use credits to buy leads. Credits have no cash value, can't be transferred or exchanged for money, and can only be used on Archi Quote Compare.
- Except as set out in these terms or where the law requires it, we don't refund credits once you've bought them. If you think we've charged you by mistake, contact us and we'll put it right.
Automatic top-up
You can choose to top up your credits automatically. When you buy a credit pack by card, the option to top up automatically with the same pack is shown with its terms, and you can untick it. While automatic top-up is on, you authorise us to charge your saved card the price of the pack you chose whenever your balance falls below the level you set, up to the monthly maximum you set. The exact amounts are shown next to the switch. You can switch it off at any time and it stops straight away. If you change the card, pack or limits, we'll ask you to confirm the new amounts.
Premier
Premier is a monthly subscription that adds a Premier badge to your company card. It renews every month on the same date, and we charge your card the price shown when you subscribed (plus VAT if we charge VAT) until you cancel. You can cancel at any time in your workspace; Premier then stays active until the end of the month you've paid for and isn't charged again. We don't refund part months. We'll tell you at least 30 days before we change the price, and you can cancel before the change.
Featured
Featured is a one-off payment for a set period (for example 7 days, 14 days or one month). While it's active your company card shows a Featured badge, is shown first among the companies a customer is connected with and in our directory of professionals, and is included in the companies we recommend for enquiries that match your services and area. Buying again adds the new period to the end of the current one. Featured doesn't guarantee a number of leads, replies or jobs, and we don't refund it once the period has started.
Badges
Premier and Featured are paid options and are clearly labelled as such. They don't mean we've checked or recommend a professional.
7. Payments
Payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe. We don't see or store your full card number. You can save a card for quicker payments and remove it at any time. Prices are in pounds sterling. We'll show whether VAT is included or added before you pay, and we send a receipt for every purchase.
If a payment fails or is reversed, we may pause your purchases, automatic top-up or Premier until it's resolved.
8. Messages and notifications
Customers and professionals can message each other once the professional has bought the customer's enquiry. Keep messages about the project. You may share phone numbers and email addresses to arrange the work.
We don't read messages as a matter of routine. We may review them when someone reports a problem, to prevent fraud or abuse, or when the law requires it.
We tell you about activity on your account in the app and by email. You can also switch on notifications on your phone or computer, and switch them off at any time.
We always send the emails you need to use your account, such as sign-in links, security messages and receipts. We may also send professionals reminders to complete their profile and information about Premier and Featured. Each of these emails says why you're getting it, and you can switch them off in your notification settings or with the unsubscribe link.
9. Reviews
- Customers who hired a professional through Archi Quote Compare can review that project. Professionals can also ask past clients, including clients from outside Archi Quote Compare, for a review. These are labelled "Past client" and published once the reviewer confirms their email address.
- Reviews must be honest, based on your own experience and not written or paid for by the professional or their competitors. Fake reviews are illegal and we remove them.
- Don't include other people's personal details, such as phone numbers, in reviews.
- Reviews are published automatically. Anyone can report a review they think breaks these rules. A reported review may be hidden while we check it, and we may keep, correct or remove it.
- Professionals can publish one public response to each review.
- Our team may also add reviews that customers sent to a professional another way, such as a letter or email, but only after checking the evidence. These are labelled.
- Reviews, any photos added to them and the professional's responses are published on the professional's public profile, which anyone can see and search engines may show. We show the reviewer's first name and the first letter of their last name (for example "Sarah J."), never their full name or contact details.
10. Referrals
When our referral scheme is running, you can invite people with your personal link and earn the reward shown on your referral page when someone you referred confirms they've hired a professional through Archi Quote Compare.
- The person you refer must be new to Archi Quote Compare. Their email address and phone number must not already be in use on another account, and they must verify both.
- You can't refer yourself, your own business, or people who share your address or payment details. You must have verified your own phone number.
- We may limit how many rewards one person can earn each month.
- We approve every reward before it's paid and may ask for evidence. We may refuse or take back a reward if we think the scheme has been misused.
- We pay approved rewards once a month, currently between the 15th and 20th of the month, by bank transfer or, if you choose, as lead credits.
- We can change or end the scheme at any time. Rewards already approved will still be paid.
11. What you must not do
Don't use Archi Quote Compare to:
- break the law or help anyone else break it
- mislead, harass, threaten or discriminate against anyone
- post anything false, offensive, obscene or that infringes someone else's rights
- send spam or unrelated advertising
- collect other people's details for any purpose other than the project they're about
- avoid paying for leads, for example by asking customers to contact you outside the platform before you've bought their enquiry
- copy, scrape or interfere with the website, or try to get into parts of it you're not allowed to use.
12. Reporting problems
If you see anything illegal, harmful or against these terms, report it to us using the report buttons in the app or by contacting info@archiquotecompare.com. We'll review it and may remove content, restrict features, hide profiles or suspend or close accounts. We'll tell you what we've done where we can.
13. Your content
You keep ownership of the text, photos, drawings and other content you add. You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, display, copy and adapt it (for example, resizing photos or removing hidden information from them) so we can run Archi Quote Compare. For professionals, this includes showing your profile, portfolio and reviews publicly, to anyone who visits our website, and letting search engines show them in their results. For customers, it includes showing your reviews, and any photos you add to them, on the professional's public profile. The licence ends when your content is removed, except for copies we need to keep for legal reasons.
You confirm that you have the right to share your content and that it doesn't break anyone else's rights. Everything else on the website, including our name, logo, design and software, belongs to us or our licensors.
14. Our responsibility to you
We'll provide Archi Quote Compare with reasonable care and skill, but we can't promise it will always be available or free from errors. We may change, pause or stop parts of the service. If we stop something you've paid for, we'll refund the part you haven't used.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit.
If you're a customer using Archi Quote Compare for personal reasons, we're responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We're not responsible for losses that weren't foreseeable, for business losses, or for anything done or not done by a professional or another user. Your legal rights as a consumer aren't affected.
If you're a professional or otherwise using Archi Quote Compare for business:
- we're not liable for loss of profits, sales, business, contracts, opportunity, goodwill or data, or for any indirect or consequential loss
- our total liability to you in any 12 months is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event that caused the claim
- you're responsible for, and will cover our reasonable costs of, any claim made against us because of your work, your content or your breaking these terms.
15. Suspending and closing accounts
We may suspend or close an account, remove content or remove access to enquiries if we reasonably believe someone has broken these terms or the law, or to protect customers, professionals or Archi Quote Compare. Where we can, we'll explain why.
You can ask us to close your account at any time by contacting us. Our team closes it and emails you when it's done. When an account is closed, you can't sign in, subscriptions and automatic top-up stop, saved cards are removed and unused credits aren't refunded.
We keep a closed account's details for up to 6 years, as explained in our Privacy notice, and we can reopen the account if you ask. If you ask us to delete your personal details, we'll do so within one month, apart from records the law requires us to keep (such as payment and tax records).
16. Complaints
If you're unhappy with our service, contact us at info@archiquotecompare.com. We'll acknowledge your complaint within 5 working days and aim to reply in full within 14 days.
Complaints about a professional's or customer's conduct or work are a matter between you and them (see section 3), but please tell us if someone breaks these terms.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when we add features or the law changes. We'll show the date at the top of the page and, for important changes, tell account holders by email or in the app before the change takes effect and ask you to accept the new terms. If you don't agree, you can stop using Archi Quote Compare and ask us to close your account.
18. Law and courts
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any dispute will be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales, except that customers who live in Scotland or Northern Ireland can bring a claim in their own courts.
If a court decides part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later.
